MAJOR UPDATE: Its been a while

Hey, hows it going.

Its been a long time since anything has been updated on this project but we have been working this entire time so we have a lot to cover.

First things first

we will start with the main menu. Its gone through many different phases since the last build but the most recent one is looking great IMO and will probably stick for at least a little while. Here is a sneak peak below. Also, the 'options' menu has been added where you can change the graphics settings and sounds settings that save when the game closes. There is also some character customization in with more on the way.

Multiplayer

As of right now we only have a stable single-player build up which is completely outdated but multiplayer will be functional and we will have more than just a zombie survival mode. We have other game modes planned like team death match and another familiar and more tactical game mode still in the works.

Movement

So if you have played the single-player build then you will know the movement just straight up wasn't good. In my defense i was going for a extremely precise movement style but after some feed back and more testing, we came to the conclusion that it needed to be touched up. Its still not perfect but with the next build coming soon you can expect much smoother movement. We also went ahead and added sprinting and jumping finally. While the movement still isn't where I want it to be, its way better than what it was.

GUI
The GUI has gone through more phases than the main menu and will go through many more probablyWe aren't sure of exactly everything we want to show in our UI but for now its basic. It will be hard to really see what we have with just a once picture but for now that's all I can share

Other Improvements

Many behind the scenes stuff has been either added or Improved in one way or another, as well as the weapon mechanics and animations. Since we are handling all the animations ourselves, they still aren't perfect but some progress has been made in the quality of them. Weapon mechanics are being updated as well. A good example would be shotguns specifically. Before they were simple; if you shot, one raycast would be sent out similar to slug shells. I made them a little more dynamic by having shotguns be able to shoot multiple raycasts and have a spread and damage would be spread out through the individual raycasts. Also shotguns reload differently compared to a gun that uses a mag so the reloading has been made more dynamic as well by only reloading the amount of shells needed to fill the gun. AI has been slightly improved and there are now 2 types of zombies that spawn. One being a normal melee range zombie and the other being a ranged "Spitter" type.

There is definitely stuff that I cant remember right now but I can say there has been many bug fixes and quality of life fixes. A game play video will be posted before the build is released.  There are more pictures of the game during the development gap on my twitter if anyone is interested https://twitter.com/CleanestYasuo
